Main Events
Richard and Scarlet search for his friends. They find Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, Kahlan, and Chase, but because of the enemy web, they attack Richard—Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander uses wizard's fire and Chase threatens him. Richard realizes they see him as Lord Darken Rahl. He cannot make them understand. They don't have the box with them. Richard and Scarlet continue searching and find Michael's army. Richard sneaks into Michael's tent at night. Michael recognizes him immediately, which means Michael is the traitor—those who honor Rahl see Richard for who he is. Michael claims Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander has the box, but Richard knows Lord Darken Rahl has it. Richard gives Michael the "loser's salute" from their childhood, then escapes on a stolen horse, leaving his brother behind.
